How to Uncompress Files in the Nimbix Environment

Uncompressing Files with a lightweight Ubuntu Server

There can be some cases where you're compressing your data before uploading it to the Nimbix cloud. There are a few ways to uncompress these files once they're uploaded. The easiest way would be to spin up a lightweight Ubuntu server. The steps to do this are as follows:

1. Login to your JARVICE user account on cloud.nimbix.net

2. Click the "Compute" tab

3. Scroll down and click on "Ubuntu Linux for Intel"

4. Select the "Server" option

5. On the "Task Builder" page, just keep the default settings and click "Continue"

This will then start a session that you will be able to connect to via your Dashboard by clicking on the job name and clicking the green "Connect" button. Once you're inside the environment, you'll be able to navigate to your /data directory and uncompress any compressed files you have.
